About the Photographer

Hello, I’m Ashley Coombes, a portrait photographer specializing in CORPORATE PORTRAITS and PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOTS for the business community across Scotland.

Other areas of work include EVENTS and MARKETING PHOTOGRAPHY such as:

lifestyle product imagery
conference and events photography

Many of my clients commission me for project work which often requires a broad range of photographic disciplines for various aspects of their project. My work is generally split between Edinburgh and Glasgow but I travel widely across Scotland and occasionally in London and further afield.

My Background as a Photojournalist

EXPERIENCE. I have been working as a professional photographer for over 25 years. First in the Newspaper Industry in London and Scotland covering world events, international politics and business. Then for Corporate clients and Businesses.
QUALITY. The majority of my newspaper career was spent photographing mainly for The Times but also The Guardian, Independent, Daily Telegraph and Financial Times. Receiving consistent commissions for these national titles sharpened my efficiency, technical skills and creativity. Those high standards learnt in my early career form the platform on which all my work is built today.
PROFESSIONALISM & SERVICE. I work closely with my clients to build a bespoke brief, making sure all aspects of the photography required are planned and thought through. After the shoot I offer a fast turnaround of images with a highly functional digital delivery system. Images available at various resolutions and aspect ratios where required.
CONFIDENCE. My editorial background informs a photographic style that is confident, natural and relaxed. I work quickly and efficiently with my subjects using my experience and communication skills to bring out their best – whether it’s on a windswept hillside or in a glass-panelled boardroom.
